Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is the closest big city to Nea Potidea. In less than an hour (60 kilometers away) you can find yourselves in the city founded by the great General Kassandros and was named after Alexander the Great’s sister. Thessaloniki has an important and uninterrupted historical presence for 23 centuries. Here you can visit monuments from the different historical periods from the antiquity until today, like the Archeological and the Byzantine Museum.

Besides being a city of great history it is also a modern city where you can enjoy strolls at the beach with the White Tower, have fun, go shopping and attend a lot of cultural events throughout the year like theater, art exhibitions, music shows e.t.c.
