Athytos

Another nearby village of exceptional architecture you may visit at a day trip is Athytos, 18 kilometers from Nea Potidea. Athytos has a very beautiful beach, many restaurants and bars and it is a very popular destination for tourists from all around Kassandra. The village offers great views of the Toronaios Golf, has a lot of paved picturesque streets, stone houses and a lot of history too. You can visit the church of Saint Demetres with the wooden roof built in 1859 and the Folklore Museum in “The Aletras house” that dates from 1889 and often hosts very interesting exhibitions.
